CONNECT WITH US
None of us live in isolation so how we get along with people is important to us. We all experience relationship problems at times but issues such as bullying, parents separating or break-ups can feel especially hard to deal with. It can be especially difficult for teenagers and children
Self-esteem is how we view ourselves. We all experience knocks to our confidence at one point or another. However as a teenager or young child, having low self-esteem, seeing ourselves as bad or unworthy, can make facing life's challenges feel that much harder.
It's estimated that 1 in 12 young people will have self-harmed at some point. The reasons behind it can include relieving stress; wanting to feel less numb or in control; or as a means of self punishment. Counselling for teenagers and children can help to address these issues.
Fear and stress are normal and commonplace feelings that let us know that something needs attending to. However traumatic experiences or stress felt over a long period can lead to anxiety or panic attacks.
